GALA 2012 will bring the global content delivery community together for informative and energizing interactions. The attendees represent a wide selection of professionals including owners of language service companies, sales and marketing managers, project managers and localization/globalization managers from all facets of the language and localization industry.  In 2011, 65 percent of GALA conference attendees were top executives.

The GALA 2012 program and events reflect the evolution of the translation and localization industry into a critical component of global business, helping companies communicate with customers and constituents worldwide. The conference will include practical information on building a global content strategy to serve local customers worldwide as well as relevant ideas for helping language service providers build their businesses.

Information on “Finding the Balance: Shifting Stress from People to Systems”

For many translators and project managers, the rush-rush, hurry-up, just-in-time strategy for project completion has become the norm. Consequently, vast numbers of localization professionals find it difficult to achieve a balance between their working lives and private lives. Explore some of the collaborative, creative solutions to this timeless challenge to take the pressure off individuals and rely on finely-tuned systems instead. By dividing work into smaller, manageable tasks, using collaborative tools, rethinking relationship models with translators, and managing tailored schedules, e2f translations has seen significant improvements in morale and productivity. Hear how you can, too.
