Avec nos compliments !

It should be clear for everybody that “complimentary” is to “complementary” what “compliment” is to “complément”, but somehow we often see “complimentary” translated “complémentaire” instead of “gratuit” or “offert”.

Note that “Avec nos compliments !” is a very polite formula that can be used when offering something complimentary (used by hotels for example).
